I broke her heart and my own with one split second mistake. Now we’re thrown together for four weeks. Training camp after the draft is the final step to cement my pro football careers, but after seeing her again, she’s the only future I want.If I were a better guy, I’d walk away and let her live her life. Maybe I haven’t learned my lesson yet because I can’t stop thinking about her. And I won’t stop until she knows how much I still love her.The sins of my past are hard to run from, but I’ll battle every single one, if it means one more chance with her.The Sin of Kissing You is the second book in the new Fulton U universe sports romance, Falling trilogy.Book The Sin of Kissing You (Falling Trilogy) Review :
Once again this crafty storyteller has torņ my heart out and shatteřed it to smithereens. At least I can look forward to the last book knitting me back together again, because, holy carp, this second part of Bay and Dare's story is angst overload!Okay, I had to get that out since I’m still reeling from this one. I mean, wow! Just wow. And yes, for those of you wondering, this second act ends in a cliffie just like the first did. But there's so much packed into this story that if I didn’t already love these characters, I would now. And since they already secured a place in my heart, it feels like I’ve spent an hour in the blender on frappe.Things didn’t end well for Dare Keyton when he left his small hometown of Greenwood. He couldn’t get away from his horrible home life fast enough after graduation. But then he made the worst possible choice, taking out his frustration on his sweet girlfriend, Bay, and destroying the one possession she held dear that was passed on to her from her late father. What Dare had yet to understand is that leaving town and putting his past behind him didn’t mean that his emotional baggage wouldn’t follow him.Four years later, he's finished college, gotten signed with the LA Lions professional football team and is arriving at their summer training camp. He couldn’t be more surprised when he runs into Bay, one of the housing staff for the training camp. These two! Oh my heart, it's like everyone in the world knows they belong together, but the stars simply refuse to align for Bay and Dare/Keyton. I felt every second of their pain, desperation, disappointment, desire and fragile hope as if it were my own. I can’t wait to finally get to their HEA.I think, when it's all said and done, the reader will have worked just as much for this HEA as Bay and Dare! If you’re cliffie adverse, wait until the last book comes out, but definitely make this romaņce priority one on your TBR. It's unbelievably touching and downright mesmerizing, and it will be one of the very best things you read this year! 1st person dual POVHigh school 1st loves surprisingly reconnect after 4 years of not seeing eachother. She needs the world around her to see her.Dare just wants her to see the real him.She needs to be important, hes afraid he isnt enough.Spoilers and rantingHes just been drafted and willing to risk his future for a second chance.Shes afraid of what she really wants and headed toward a safe stable life when he pops back up and she realizes she can use him to get what she wants.Big problem, from the very beginning back in high school shes set them up to fail. Shes never had faith in him. 1st that he was playing her. Then that she would be in his shadow and now that it's all just a mask waiting to slip againShe has no faith in herself. For some reason she really wants to be seen. In high school she felt invisible always as the new girl but didnt try to change that or get to know people. Then she thinks shes easily forgotten. And with her music she can only sing infront of dare because he sees her but her best friend and work friends have confidence in her but she doesnt trust it and is insecure.4 years later and bay is still immature. She has every right to be mad, hurt and upset but the fact that she still doesnt acknowledge what she did to him speaks volumes. The song may have been about her learning things from what he went through but she still put what he went through out there. And it was still raw for him. She feels pity for herself because everyone was talking about her after but she doesnt stop to think about how the talking affected dare. She never wanted anyone to know her business but she put all his out there. I wish someone would shake her and ask how she would like it if dare went out and told hundreds of people how she felt about losing her dad, the one thing that gets her the most. Because singing to hundreds of people about his abuse and it doesnt faze her.And she furthers her pity party by being upset about people leaving her behind when in fact shes the once that chose a career she doesnt care for and is choosing to leave her current job and chosing to move. Shes the one leaving, but of course she sees it as poor her because people arent trying to make special accommodation for her at a work event months in the future when shes suppose to be gone. And then she throws it at dare that hes getting to live his dream when shes the one willing to give up on hers. The more I read the more I dont understand them being together. I get that they are drawn to one another but beyond that it doesnt work. She doesnt accept him for him. He has an anger issue but it isnt out of control and she always uses it as an excuse. Shes never been ready for him. Shes never wanted a label shes always said it was to fast. He always shies away from his true feeling because he can she them scaring her away.So she cant be there for him all the time, be the one to calm him down, be his life BUT she wanted him to be by her side so she could sing because she thought she couldn't do it without him. So he can be there so she can have her dream but she cant be there for him.
